How does it work?
GPS Tracking continuously monitors an individual's location. Radio Frequency (Home Monitoring) continuously monitors an individual's proximity to the individual's home residence.
Remote Alcohol Monitoring detects evidence of an individual's alcohol consumption on a continuous/scheduled/random/on-demand basis.
Electronic Monitoring is meant to provide a detailed record of an individual's whereabouts and hold them accountable after the fact. Electronic Monitoring is not designed to stop an individual from committing a crime no monitoring service provider, bail bond agency or law enforcement agency can guarantee that they can respond quick enough to stop a crime already in-progress.

There are some limitations GPS signals from satellites aren't meant to transmit through solid objects. If the GPS tracking unit doesn't have a clear view of the sky, tracking problems can come up. Solid objects like buildings/walls/bridges/trees/ can present problems as well. GPS tracking systems are excellent for building-to-building tracking and monitoring an individual's movement within a community.

If the transmitter ankle bracelet is removed it will emit an alert signal. The transmitter ankle bracelet strap is made of a flexible material that forms an electrical circuit,any break in the circuit will result in a violation. Each transmitter ankle bracelet also contains a tamper detection system utilizing fiber optics. There is also a secondary system that is resistant to traditional circumvention attempts such as using alligator clips or severing the ankle strap while immersed in salt water. If an individual cuts the ankle strap, removes the battery, or  tampers with the transmitter, an alert signal is sent  and the violation is reported.  Attempts at improper removal are also visually evident.
